Terms of Service

Who can use e4e

You must be at least 18 years old and able to enter a binding contract. Investing through the Service is available only to people who pass identity verification and meet the eligibility rules shown in the app.

Your account

Keep your sign-in details secure and the information in your account accurate, including the income and net worth figures used to calculate your investment limit. You are responsible for activity on your account. Tell us right away at ulises@e4e.app if you think someone else has accessed it.

Investing involves risk

• Investing in early-stage companies is highly risky. You can lose your entire investment. Only invest money you can afford to lose.
• Securities bought under Regulation Crowdfunding generally cannot be resold for one year and may be hard to sell after that.
• Nothing on the Service is investment, legal or tax advice, and e4e does not recommend any company. Company profiles, videos and figures are provided by the companies themselves. Do your own research and read each offering's disclosures before you invest.
• Each investment is governed by the agreement you sign for it. If that agreement conflicts with these terms, the investment agreement controls for that investment.

Companies and founders

If you list a company, you confirm that you are authorized to act for it and that everything you submit is true, complete and not misleading. You keep ownership of the content you upload, and you give e4e a license to host, display and share it on the Service and in promoting the company's listing. You are responsible for the company's compliance with the securities laws that apply to its offering.

Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• give false information, impersonate anyone or open accounts for others;
• use the Service for fraud, money laundering or any unlawful purpose;
• upload content that infringes someone else's rights or is unlawful;
• interfere with the Service, try to access data that is not yours, or scrape or copy the Service by automated means.

Payments

Payments are processed by Stripe and are subject to Stripe's terms. Refunds and cancellations follow the rules for each offering and the deadlines shown in the app.

Ending your account

You can delete your account at any time from the Profile screen. We may suspend or close accounts that break these terms or the law, or when we are required to. Records of past investments are kept as described in the Privacy Policy.

Disclaimers and limits

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available". To the fullest extent the law allows, e4e disclaims all warranties, express or implied, and is not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, or for losses on any investment. Our total liability for any claim related to the Service is limited to the greater of $100 or the fees you paid to e4e in the 12 months before the claim. Some places do not allow these limits, so they may not all apply to you.

Changes

We may update these terms. We will post the new version here with a new effective date and tell you in the app if the change is significant. Continuing to use the Service after that means you accept the new terms.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of New York, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules.
